Somу highlights from Alla Sigalova’s Biography:
Graduated from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet in 1978, under the tutelage of N. Dudinskaya.
1987-1989 – choreographer in the “Satirikon” Theatre. Choreographed the following productions:
J. Genet's “The Maids”, F. Durrenmatt's “Hercules and the Augean Stables”.
1989-2000 – director of “Alla Sigalova’s Independent Dance Company”. Productions: “Playing Hide and Seek with Loneliness”- music by Messiaen , Mahler, Gershwin; “Othello” - music by Verdi; “Queen of Spades” - music by Schnittke, “Salome” - music by Szymanowski, Chausson; “The Sculptor of Masks” by F. Crommelynck; “La Divina”; “The Cynics” by A. Mariengof.
Choreographed the following productions for other theatres:
“Diary of an Ordinary Girl” by N Kosterina; “The Bedbug” - music by Dashkevich and Kim based on Mayakovsky's play – Mayakovsky Theatre
“Overstocked Packaging Barrels” by V. Aksyonov, “Passion according to Bumbarash” music by Dashkevich and Kim – Theatre under the leadership of O. Tabakov
“Banana” by S. Mrozek - Mossovet theatre
“Yvonne, the Princess of Burgundy” by W. Gombrowicz - Theatre of Lower Saxony

Professor at the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts, where she taught Stage Dance at the Faculty of Directing from 1982 to 2004. Professor, Head of the Department of Movement at the Moscow Art Theatre School from 2004.
In 2008 – received the “Golden Mask” National Theatre Award “for the fruitful synthesis of drama theatre and choreography”
